We are thrilled to secure Planet Mark certification for a fourth year. Achieving this certification demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability across our business operations.

Planet Mark is an internationally recognised sustainability certification acknowledging continuous progress, encouraging action and building an empowered community of like-minded individuals.

By working with Planet Mark, our operations are scrutinised on an annual basis, which allows us to gain a clear understanding of the improvements made to the sustainability of our business.

Highlights from this year’s assessment include:

• Improved data quality score from 13/20 in 2022 to 17/20 in 2023. *
• 22% annual fall in emissions **

Federico Montella, Head of ESG and Sustainability, commented:

“I am very proud to achieve this certification for the fourth year in a row. It is a testament to the hard work taking place throughout the business to reduce our carbon emissions.

“By learning more about how to measure our own carbon footprint and understand where emissions are coming from, we are putting ourselves in a better position to advise our clients on how to not only make sustainability improvements across their business operations, but the procedures they should be putting in place to ensure accurate measurement.”

* Measuring our carbon footprint accurately is vital for us to understand where our emissions are coming from, what progress has been made and what improvements need to be made in the future.

** Planet Mark methodology, which follows carbon accounting industry best practice, contributed to this significant reduction. In this year’s audit year-on-year comparison was normalised to exclude sites where gas consumption has been reported but was not last year. In the year-on-year comparison, gas emissions of eight LSH offices were not included. This ensures that companies are not punished for improvements in their carbon data collection. However, even if these emissions were included, our annual emissions would have still fallen by significantly more than the 5% necessary to achieve Planet Mark certification.
