Surrey County Council has appointed Lambert Smith Hampton as its property supplier on a contract running for three years with an option to extend for a further two years.

LSH will provide property related services across a portfolio comprising administrative offices, libraries, highway depots, fire stations, care facilities, maintained schools, countryside assets, waste and recycling centres, residential property and a range of miscellaneous assets. The current portfolio value is circa £1.4bn.

Since the call off contract was completed, LSH has received instructions to provide strategic advice to support the Council’s objectives on a number of property opportunities across its portfolio, including landlord and tenant matters, town planning advice and the marketing for disposal of a number of assets, declared or being declared surplus to operational need. All Disposals are carried out by open marketing with a portfolio of smaller interests being taken through the LSH auction platform. LSH is leading a number of these instructions through Tim Shaw based in their Guildford office.

Lambert Smith Hampton has recently closed marketing on several former care home sites and has an instruction to market the Council’s freehold interest in its 80,000 sq ft office building at Quadrant Court in Woking.

Neil Parlett, Contract Lead and Senior Director at Lambert Smith Hampton comments: “We are delighted to have been appointed by Surrey County Council to deliver high quality property services across a diverse portfolio, drawing on extensive local market knowledge”
